We’re a niche company based in the south-east offering high-quality coach trips and holidays, primarily to lovely gardens but also to other places of interest.

We’re always willing to help make bookings for you over the telephone as we know it’s often much nicer to speak to a person; but if you would like to book online, please read our How to Book guide to ensure you get the price advertised in our brochure.

The Isles of Scilly are glorious, particularly St Martins.  And Neil at Pennywood provided a smooth, well organised holiday.  The Hotel Karma was charming, and the staff were friendly, helpful & professional.  Food was excellent.  I was travelling solo, and this was my first trip with Pennywood, so I was a little anxious, but I needn't have worried because everything went very well, and I felt comfortable and relaxed.  The group I travelled with was small and friendly and I met a couple of lovely ladies with whom I shared meals and enjoyed wonderful walks.  The trip to Tresco was superb, and included a tour by the head gardener.  What a treat!  Also, not to be missed, is a visit to the vineyard, and also the Bakery. I have been on several holidays with Pennywood Tours, most recently to the Isles of Scilly, and have always found them to be thoroughly enjoyable experiences.
This was my third visit to the Isles of Scilly with Pennywood and the hotel on St Martin’s was to its usual high standard with lovely sea views, very helpful staff and good food. The experience was enhanced through meeting and getting to know the other members of the group.
My other holidays with Pennywood, including to the Netherlands, Scotland, Channel Islands, and Isle of Wight have been just as enjoyable and well organised. I have been collected from home by taxi and taken to join the coach. Coaches used are comfortable with ample room for everyone – lone travellers have two seats to themselves although the option to share has always been available.
Neil’s organisation is excellent and he keeps the group informed of events to ensure that everyone is aware of where they have to be and at what time they should be there. He makes allowance for anyone who is perhaps a little less agile and he always ensures that everyone is accounted for. He is always on hand to deal with any issues which might affect the group as a whole, or just individual members.

A  very enjoyable trip to Sandringham, stopping off on the way at delightful little seaside towns on the coast. To top it all the hotel was very comfortable and the food excellent. We were very well looked after by Neil.

Travelling on the Waverley, the last sea going paddle steamer. Was an amazing and unique experience.
Organised by Pennywood Tours, we also enjoyed visiting two mature and relaxing gardens.

Lovely few days away visiting the The Harold Hillier Gardens en route to Southampton for a 2 night break.  The hotel in Southampton….wonderful comfy bed, fluffy pillows, great toiletries and a good breakfast.  The highlight of the break however, was the day on board the steam Steam Paddle ship, The Waverley, and cruising along the Jurassic coast.  We also cruised past The Needles.
Neil even ordered perfect weather and a calm sea!

The return journey stop was at RHS Wisley.

It’s always a pleasure to take a Pennywood Tour, they are meticulously planned but have an illusion of easy peace and pace that helps you relax from the outset. The journey to the Channel Isles by coach and ferry recently was a good example , being a beautiful mixture of delightful private visits , charming local treats and events from two excellent hotels providing all our needs, all lead with a light but kindly touch by our host .
