We’ve received a lot of interest in a visit to Jodrell Bank, and we’ve added the bonus stop of Biddulph Grange, providing a tour of garden beauty and scientific fascination.
Day 1: Biddulph Grange
Biddulph Grange Garden delights visitors with its dramatic Victorian design, weaving global landscapes into a single enchanting journey. Wander from the tranquil Chinese Garden to the exotic Egyptian Court, explore hidden tunnels, vibrant planting and sculpted vistas. Every turn reveals a new, imaginative world crafted with extraordinary creativity and charm. What a place to have lunch!
Moving along, we arrive at our home for the night at the Cottons Hotel and Spa. In our efforts to avoid a fixed dining time and static 3-course menu, here, you can book your own dining time and choose what you like from the menu and eat with whoever you like.
Day 2: Jodrell Bank
After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll leave the comfort of the hotel and arrive at Jodrell Bank for a few hours of wonder and amazement as you wander amongst the pavilions, exhibitions and grounds of the site.
As an extra, we’ve added entry to the Space Dome – an immersive, planetarium-style auditorium. Opened in 2022, it features a curved screen with nine digital projectors, which will introduce you to the majesty, scale and beauty of space.
In the mid-afternoon, we’ll depart and wind our way back home, arriving in the mid evening.
